Painting a Brighter Future with Youth,

  • Hey, I’m Winn Angel, a proud Filipina! I’ve got a talent for learning things fast and a love for all things artistic. I’d like to be an engineer, maybe mechanical. I really love jewelry which is what led me to join these cool programs with Ms. Deja. And we love Ms. Deja!

  • Hey, I'm Medi and I’m 17 years old! I'm really passionate about drawing and creating art—it's what I love to do. 🎨 In university, my plan is to incorporate majoring in psychology and the arts. My goal is to use art to support individuals coping with mental health challenges. Seems like a cool way to make a difference, you know? 😊

  • Hey, I'm Amara and I’m 15 years old! So, like, I've been thinking a lot about my future lately. I totally see myself owning my own business or, you know, being famous. Like, how cool would that be? I'm picturing this cute little shop or something. And, TBH, I'm kinda over relying on my mom's money all the time. I wanna be independent, ya know? I'm ready to start earning my own money! 💪💰

  • Hi, I'm Tsha! I like crafts, beauty stuff, and vanilla perfumes. I'm 17 with a big family—5 siblings from my mom and 3 from my dad. My ethnic background is a cool mix of African American and Indian! 🌟I'm all about Asian food, and especially love rice and chicken. As for the future, I want to start my own business. And I’d like to move to Greece, or some tropical place sounds pretty amazing to me! 🌴

  • Hey, I'm Kataw Paw, just a 16-year-old junior. 📚 For my future I'm really interested in construction stuff, but architecture has really caught my eye too. But hey, if that doesn't pan out, the Air Force seems like a cool option. 🛩️ Just seeing where life takes me, you know? 😊

  • Bio coming soon!

  • Hey I’m Solomon, I love sewing, reading, drawing, painting, and fashion design. It's my creative outlet. In the future I'm thinking I wanna go into fashion. Like, maybe I'll model or design clothes—I'm still figuring that out. If I can, I'd love to take some photos of the models too. 📸 Another fun fact about me: I play the guitar! 🎸

Program Highlights

The Future Of Art & Creativity

  • Youth Art & Jewelry Programs

Is your young artist looking for a space to create and explore? Our programs give participants the chance to develop their skills, experiment with materials, and bring their ideas to life.

In the Art Program, students work with paints, canvases, and more, receiving guidance to refine their techniques and develop their own style. From painting to sculpture, they’ll have opportunities to showcase their work in our annual art show.

In the Jewelry Program, participants learn to craft unique pieces using crystals, beads, wire, and stones. They’ll explore techniques like bead stringing, wire wrapping, and metal stamping, all while expressing their creativity freely.

Unlock your creativity—join us and make something amazing!

The Impact

Through my efforts, it’s my hope that our youth, adults, and elders can learn from each other through expressive and therapeutic artistic engagement to build a better community and future together. As a Teaching Artist, mentor, and business owner, I have thoughtfully served Black and Brown communities where youth have an aspiration for creative expression, but are faced with the lack of funding or resources within the public school systems to promisingly keep art programs alive.

Fluid art is teamwork and color theory in perfect sync!

Inspiring Community Change

  • I am passionate about teaching and caring for the youth through the transformative power of visual arts. I understand that adolescence can be a tumultuous time, often filled with inner struggles and challenges in interpersonal relationships. That is why I strive to help young minds strengthen their emotional intelligence, providing them with the tools to navigate their emotional landscapes with grace and understanding.

Through my carefully crafted art programs, I create a nurturing environment where self-expression and creativity flourish. By exploring various artistic mediums, our young artists learn to communicate and express themselves authentically, allowing for a deeper connection with their inner selves. This newfound self-awareness paves the way for stronger relationships with their families, friends, and most importantly, with themselves.

I understand that empowerment comes from a well-rounded skill set. That is why I also incorporate business development education into my curriculum, equipping the youth with the knowledge and skills necessary to thrive as successful young adults. My goal is to empower them to not only follow their artistic passions, but also build a solid foundation for their future endeavors.

Through the careful blend of visual arts and personal growth, I strive to uplift and inspire the next generation. I believe that teaching and caring for the youth is not only an art form, but a way to shape a brighter and more compassionate world for tomorrow.
